The preliminary stage: August ~September of 2006 Registration and Primary Selection
The Global Travel will launch the event by joining hands with our readers, China-based tourism bureaus from countries serving as outbound destinations for Chinese citizens and experts in the judging panel to start the preliminary choice. We will recommend the top 160 foreign places to the Organizing Committee.
The secondary stage: September ~ November of 2006 Run-off
We will organize authoritative institutions to publicize these candidates of "Top 50 Places Abroad to visit for the Chinese" via Internet, magazines, newspapers, SMS etc to let the public decide on the final top 50 candidates.
The tertiary stage: November of 2006 ~January of 2007 Evaluate and Final result
The Organizing Committee will decide on final list upon voters' choice. There will be an Awarding Ceremony held in November for winners of the "Top 50 Places Abroad to visit for the Chinese."
2. Selection Category
All cities, mountain ranges, gorges, caves, waterfalls, brooks, lakes, forests, coasts, islands, grasslands, ground forms, glaciers, wetlands, deserts, museums and other travel resorts for holidays, ecological and exploration sites in the world can enter the evaluation range.
3. Selection Standard
Compared with natural landscape of other countries, there is one"s own uniqueness;
Compared with cultural landscape of other countries, there is one"s own uniqueness;
No matter famous or newly discovered travel destinations, they can participate in the selection so long as there are travel values;
There is certain influence in the world or among Chinese visitors;
There is certain representation in this country or the world;
There is good public praise among the countries all over the world or among Chinese visitors;
4. Selection Statement:
(1) In order to guarantee the fairness and justness of this selection, the organizers will not collect any selection charges, and forbid other people and organizations to collect charges in the name of this selection activity.
(2) The national notary office will be participating in this selection.
